Pours a one finger cream head that fades quickly leaving no lace. Hazy amber color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Light fruit nose and flavor is Belgian yeast, caramel, some tart fruit, higher ABV is hidden. Pricey at $10.04 for a 22oz bottle from Beverage Warehouse Winooski, VT.

Bottle thanks to my buddy Chadwell! Clear orange pour, little disc of carbonation and an aroma of candi sugar and fruity Belgian yeast esters. Flavor is biscuit, light nuts and caramel, slightly warming from the alcohol, sweet white grape and some vegetal flavors on the finish.

As far as beers go it’s quality.....as far as tripels go I’m not so sure. Would drink again but wouldn’t be my first choice.

Bottle. Pours a dark golden copper color with a small fizzy white head. Very effervescent. Initial nose is banana and clove, typical triple scents. However, nose quickly turns sweet with an almost peanut brittle quality. Palate is thick for a triple with some light carbonation play. Flavors of big caramel malt sweetness with a light resiny hop note.

Pours amber into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Banana and bubblegum aromas. Sweet over-ripe banana upfront turning dry in the sweet lasting yeast finish.

This is the first new beer I’ve added. When I saw the label I new I had to try it. 22 ox bottle dated 04-2012. Pours an almost clear brownish amber with a small white head and no lacing. Smell is mostly of bananas. Aroma is much better, with bananas, cloves, jasmine, and yeast. (somehere between the Trippel I was expecting and an unfiltered Belgian White). Taste is sweet at first, then spicy with a little bitterness in the finish offsetting the bananas. The high ABV is very well hidden. Moutheel is lively despite low carbonation (thanks to the spices). Body is medium +. There’s nothing too overpowering here. An unusual and very enjoyable Trippel.
