Bottle fresh from recent Maine trip. More of a triple than a Belgian IPA, it marries a smooth orange citrus and Belgian yeast tastes. Nicely drinkable, and not showing the alcohol at all.

Bottle. Reddish-orange with a thin white head of tight bubbles. The aroma hints at mandarin orange and yeast. The beer drinks with a nice tart, Belgian farmhouse character, the flavors tend to revolve around golden raisins the finish is moderately cloying but not overly so. Enjoyable. (#5084, 6/29/2013)

Pours amber into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Banana and bubblegum aromas. Sweet over-ripe banana upfront turning dry in the sweet lasting yeast finish.

12oz bottle from Wine Academy. Poured a thicker hazy burnt orange body with a smaller sizedcreamy way off white to almost super light beige head. Aroma is sweet, candi sugar, bubble gum, some tropical fruits, toast, belgian yeast, grains. Medium to fuller mouthfeel with smaller bubbly carbonation and a lingering flavor that finishes nicely dry for the sweetness of the aroma and flavor. Flavor of dry candi sugar, bubble gums, tropical fruits, fruit rinds, kiwi rind, sweet breads, Belgian yeast. Solid beer from a good "brewery" that needs their own brewery.

22oz bottle in a Trappist glass. Pours copper with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, some caramel malts, and floral and lightly citrusy hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. A decent beer, but not the best of the style.

Peach and apricot nose, with subtle lemon zest hints.Clear amber, medium head. Bitter citrus peel on the front end, candi on the back. Nectarine flavor start to finish. Medium body, alcohol noticeable. My first Slumbrew, I feared this would be the lesser line to my beloved Clownshoes, but this beer is of similar quality. I’m looking forward to trying the rest of the series.
