Bottle fresh from recent Maine trip. More of a triple than a Belgian IPA, it marries a smooth orange citrus and Belgian yeast tastes. Nicely drinkable, and not showing the alcohol at all.

(Rating #5747)

Bottle. Reddish-orange with a thin white head of tight bubbles. The aroma hints at mandarin orange and yeast. The beer drinks with a nice tart, Belgian farmhouse character, the flavors tend to revolve around golden raisins the finish is moderately cloying but not overly so. Enjoyable. (#5084, 6/29/2013)

22oz bottle pours a clear, burnt gold with some frothy, white head. Nose of tropical fruit, booze, pineapple, banana. Flavor is sweet, boozy, tropical fruit, pineapple, pear, big fruit, brandy, candy sugar. Full, sweet finish.

Bottle. Nose is sweet with a dank, musty citrus and slightly vegetal/celery character. Orange with slow carb and a fizzy beige head. Taste sweet and lightly oily, juicy orange peel with slight spicy scratch in the throat, some lemon and pils malt, though a tad unclean. A little tropical, notes of vanilla subdued but slightly more honey. Touch jammy phenolic after volume, less-than-crisp medium body, alcohol extremely well hidden. Enjoyable despite the flaws.

Pours amber into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Banana and bubblegum aromas. Sweet over-ripe banana upfront turning dry in the sweet lasting yeast finish.

12oz bottle from Wine Academy. Poured a thicker hazy burnt orange body with a smaller sizedcreamy way off white to almost super light beige head. Aroma is sweet, candi sugar, bubble gum, some tropical fruits, toast, belgian yeast, grains. Medium to fuller mouthfeel with smaller bubbly carbonation and a lingering flavor that finishes nicely dry for the sweetness of the aroma and flavor. Flavor of dry candi sugar, bubble gums, tropical fruits, fruit rinds, kiwi rind, sweet breads, Belgian yeast. Solid beer from a good "brewery" that needs their own brewery.
