It had a nice long finish. michael-pollack (1483), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 14, 2007 Draught @ the brewery: Malty aroma was a bit faint. Smelled of alcohol, wood, a little Belgian spices, medicine, and yeast. Poured a ruby-brown color with a medium-sized, creamy, off-white head that lasted. Good lacing. Flavor was a little sweet. Malty, with notes of alcohol, coriander, nutmeg, toasting, earth, clove, and a hint of banana. Medium body. Dry, sticky texture. Dry finish. Overall, a solid Abbey Dubbel. Just not one of my favorite styles. jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jul 13, 2007 on tap-pours a foamy tan head and dark copper color. Aroma is medium malt-fruity/sweet.
