sugar aroma belies a nice understated raspberry flavor. Ruby and clear no head but nice carb. Good smooth and a good ratio of fruit to beer.

On tap at Earth. Awesome ruby red body with a thin pink head. The smell is very sweet but the raspberry aroma isnt very authentic. The taste is sweet, kinda cloying, with very little balance. Fruity and sweet, and then finishing slightly tart.

What a weird beer. The aroma was incredible fruity aroma, but then it tasted like junk. Got my hopes up so high for a random selection, then killed those hopes like a NYC school

served at NYC Brewtopiafest. I think if I had drank this on my own I would have given it a higher rating. but since there were so many other Raspberry Ale’s at the beerfest that were considerably better, this as an example of its genre only came out a very, very average beer. Pours a bruise-purple body with a carbonated pinkish head. very strong flavors. smells sweet and fruity, black cherries and raspberries. the taste was not overwhelmingly sweet however, and finishes very dry. black cherries, raspberries, wheat. slightly tart. Unfortunately, the beer is NOT well-balanced at all. the aroma is overwhelming, the taste is watered down and not complex. sure there are TONS of raspberries in there but I didn’t get much else. Not the best Raspberry beers have to offer...

Pours a deep purple color with a nice pink head to it. Has a raspberry taste to it but finishes real watery. Another okay beer from Sly Fox

On tap at Phoenixville. Not knowing what to expect with this, it was very light tasting. Not like a raspberry lambic. It is deceivingly light in body, and can absolutely sneak up on you at 8%. A nice selection in the sample we chose. Took 2 more bottles home.

looks like black cherry soda. smells like black cherry and raspberry. not very complex or flavorful taste like raspberry selzter with cherry syrup. the alcohol is hidden well. but i dunno this beer isnt very beer at all.

Pours a dark magony brown to purple beer with a quickly dissipating pink head. Aroma is intensely fruity and sirupy. Taste is extremely malty and fruity, lightly dry and bitter; in reality, though, this isn’t so much beer as cassis with malts added.

Wow, a great dark red color, almost looks like a wine. Great smell, fruity smell of raspberries...duh! Alcohol is masked well, taste of an explosion of fruit. A really good fruit beer.
