An unforgettable wheat ale brewed with German Pils and Wheat malts and Tradition hops, with 1 lb. of red and black raspberries per gallon of beer. This beer features a tart finish and a sugary sorbet aroma.

served at NYC Brewtopiafest. I think if I had drank this on my own I would have given it a higher rating. but since there were so many other Raspberry Aleís at the beerfest that were considerably better, this as an example of its genre only came out a very, very average beer. Pours a bruise-purple body with a carbonated pinkish head. very strong flavors. smells sweet and fruity, black cherries and raspberries. the taste was not overwhelmingly sweet however, and finishes very dry. black cherries, raspberries, wheat. slightly tart. Unfortunately, the beer is NOT well-balanced at all. the aroma is overwhelming, the taste is watered down and not complex. sure there are TONS of raspberries in there but I didnít get much else. Not the best Raspberry beers have to offer...

Pours a deep purple color with a nice pink head to it. Has a raspberry taste to it but finishes real watery. Another okay beer from Sly Fox

A very distinct aroma of raspberries in a very dark, near opaque brew with a purplish head. Expecting a bit more I was somewhat disappointed in the very thin consistency which seem to put it out of balance with the visual look.

looks like black cherry soda. smells like black cherry and raspberry. not very complex or flavorful taste like raspberry selzter with cherry syrup. the alcohol is hidden well. but i dunno this beer isnt very beer at all.

On tap at Phoenixville. Not knowing what to expect with this, it was very light tasting. Not like a raspberry lambic. It is deceivingly light in body, and can absolutely sneak up on you at 8%. A nice selection in the sample we chose. Took 2 more bottles home.

Wow, a great dark red color, almost looks like a wine. Great smell, fruity smell of raspberries...duh! Alcohol is masked well, taste of an explosion of fruit. A really good fruit beer.

Pours a dark magony brown to purple beer with a quickly dissipating pink head. Aroma is intensely fruity and sirupy. Taste is extremely malty and fruity, lightly dry and bitter; in reality, though, this isnít so much beer as cassis with malts added.

750mL Bottle: Ruddy purple appearance w/ a light pink head that dissipates quickly. Muddled berry aroma w/ a slight hint of yeast. Slight berry flavor up front, a little sour too. Creamy mouthfeel. I was expecting more out of this beer, but who knows how old this bottle is. So that could be a factor.

Appearance is nice... Dark red body with fluffy white head with red tints. Aroma is nice... smells like fresh raspberries. Flavor is average at best... raspberry isnít as prominant as in the aroma as itís covered up by a strange sour and bad grain taste. Palatte is light and highly carbonated. Looking through the ratings I wonder if the recipe changed cause they seem to be on a strong downward trend.
