Bottle at Jan & Charlottes tasting, Ulfborg, Denmark 09.04.11 cheers Jan & Charlotte Nice aroma here, reminding me a little of Boon Framboise, in fact the aroma is bloody gorgeous. Pours blood red with a very light pink head. The aroma suggests that this is going to be a belter and better than it actually ends up to be. Taste however is a little thin with no depth, lacking sourness, fruity bite and depth. sadly. A9 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.5

Very dry cork was difficult to remove, but greeted with a satisfying pop. A dark, cloudy purple pour. Small, fading off-white head. A surprisingly appealing nose. Perfumey raspberry nose with a fair dose of sugar, but focused, rich, inviting. I do not get much outside the fruit from smelling, but I love what I get, it still feels fresh and never artificial, never syrupy. A faint wheat undertone shows up in mouth, where the raspberry intensity loses some of its juiciness. It would have kept its high scoring potential for me if the finish was not so abruptly short. Without being particularly dry, the taste just cuts down immediately after swallowing. A great fruit beer is a rare thing. This one is very close to me.

Tap at Varga Bar. The pour is a clear jewel ruby with no head. Nose is tootsie rolls/stale plasticy toffee. Taste is tootsie rolls with plastic, big medicinal overtones, sharp metallic, and small bile/vomit acid character. Very poor. Nothing here reminded me of raspberry or even beer for that matter.

Bottle. Pours dark reddish with a medium pink head. The aroma is heavy raspberry and sweet sugary caramel. The flavour is bit tart with loads of raspberry. Tart berry finish.

Bottle at the Cuvee de Castleton release at Captain Lawrence. Pours a hazy red brown with some purple highlights. Not much of a head. Soft sweet raspberry aromas. Egads is this sweet. Cloying artificial raspberry flavors are overwhelming… very one dimensional.

Bottle (650ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and jerc, my bottle via trade with adrian910ss. Cloudy ruby with brownish highlights, large dimishing beige head. Slightly pepper/bitter sweet raspberry aroma, hint of off-dry white wine - very sweet yet dry. Taste is of bitter raspberry jam, mild alcohol, some yeast, bitter quick finish. Watery body, decently carbonated, oddly astringent - sweet yet leaves a harsh aftertaste (not too much of one). No thanks.

Bottle sample @ 2nd RBBSG, August 11th 2012. Courtesy of Tinus. Couleur acajou, col beige fin. Arôme de mûres, fruité avec ce bouquet de fruits terreux faisant abstraction des fausses notes fruitées. Palais garde ce côté fruité framboise, mûres, note terreuse sur une pointe de douceur mais le tout reste plus centré sur une fine note aigre avec des houblons nobles laissant une brève amertume.

Bottle. Pours a purple body with a white pink hued head. Raz and soda like sweetness. Spritz y with a moderate body that gives it some character. Its decent for what it is.

Ruby coloured and hazy. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Both aroma and flavor has clear notes of raspberries and some fruity sweetness. Finish a bit astringent.

Bottle from AlexDeLarge. Also greeted by a huge pop of the cork. So loud it scared my dogs. Hazy dark reddish purple with no real head to speak of. I get aroma of raspberries, a little tart, and a little sweet with a touch of wheat in there as well. Nice tart raspberry w a little bit of wheat in the end, but minimal. Dry tart raspberry is the most dominant aspect in this one. Huge carbonation with a nice dry finish.
