3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the Selinsgrove Beer & Wine Festival.
This is very well done.
It is not a "novelty" beer, but rather a well made fruit beer that is worth trying.
Single finger surprisingly pink head on a reddish amber body. Aroma isn’t too sweet with musty raspberry and blackberries. Flavor is well balanced.

Almost a lambic. Overly fruity. Very good for what they claimed. Would mix well with chocolate vodka or cake...your choice. Had in bottle

Poured from bottle into a chalice glass
Appearance – The beer pours a super deep ruby red color which almost looks garnet due to its super dark red nature. Upon pouring there is a big thick pink colored foamy head on the top of the brew. Big bubbles in the head pop over time leaving a nice leave islands of bubbly lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is of a big and sweet blackberry and raspberry smell. The aroma while sweet due to the fruit aromas, has other sweet aromas of a candied sugar adding to the sweetness. Mixed with these aromas are a little bit of yeast as well as a tiny bit of bread.
Taste – While the nose was very sweet smelling the taste was actually rather dry. It begins with a dry raspberry and blackberry flavor mixed with some cracker malt and a bit of bread. While there is a bit of sweetness from the fruits present upfront, the sweetness actually fades over time, as the taste advances with it drying out even more with a more tart like flavor coming to the tongue. A bit of a yeasty taste as well as some light sweetness comes to the tongue more toward the end, but instead of the sweet being more berry like it is more grape juice like in flavor. A lighter hop flavor of a grassy nature joins the taste at the very end and mixes with the rest to leave a moderately dry and slightly tart berry red wine like flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thinner and crisper side with a carbonation that consists of tons of little champagne like bubbles. Both are rather appropriate for the dry flavors of the brew as well as wine characteristics, giving it a fruited dry champagne like feel.
Overall – A rather dry fruity beer, although maybe a little too dry. It would have likely been a bit nicer with more sweetness. At ~ $ 10-11 you could likely get a sparkling fruit wine of a similar caliber for even less as this is what this tasted most like to me. So…

3.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Beautiful red plum in color with pinkish filmy head. The nose of fresh rasberry may be the best I’ve experienced. But then it falls apart, in the mouth the palate is harsh, metallic and not well integrated. The rasberries are muted underneath. I’d like to try another bottle but I get the feeling this one is all up front.

Hazy real with almost no pink head. Aroma is extreme raspberry. Taste is raspberry and darker fruits. Medium body and carbonation. Thin’ish finish. Not a lot of hops. Nice.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, caged and corked. Full disclosure, I may be positively tilted towards good raspberry beers ... But from the first whiff of this I’m sold. Solid, fresh berry fields, with a hint of yeast. This is full bodied, perhaps in the minds of some too full-bodied to carry the berry character ... but still a pleasant, rollicking beer IMHO ... an interesting Germanic, wheaty twist is underneath ... good stuff. 3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A decent fruited wheat beer. I’m a sucker for anything raspberry; beers especially. This one wasn’t the best flavored beer out there, but was pretty good. Aroma was nice. Raspberry, with hints of cough syrup and jelly. Pour was a beautiful dark hazy red with a one finger near pink head. Taste was a let down considering the good aroma. Thin and watery with the great carbonation drowning out any flavor on initial sip. When the flavor comes out it is all raspberry, but very muted. Not much else going on. Jack up the raspberry flavor a little and this beer would be fantastic
