Cask pours hazy golden hue, small white head. Nose of hay, grains, and slight flowery essence. Taste is similar with a good cracker sweetness that appears. Well balanced bitterness. Body is light to medium but a bit nealy and chewy.

Gravity cask at TND. Pours pale gold with minimal head. Tropical fruit, earthy, caramel. Mild bitterness and sweetness. Body was smooth, though that may be a result of the gravity cask. Meh.

Draft at Phoenixville. I’m excited to see yet another new New Zealand hop. Pours hazy straw colored, not orangy or brown at all, but toward the yellow end of the lovibond scale. The head is off-white, sparse, and somewhat lacey. Nose is resiny and tropical fruity, with pale malt and some spice. At first sip, I noted papaya and tannic notes, mild peppery resiny hops, and pale malt. Finishes crisp, very resiny and hoppy, with a spare pale malt bill that balances this one out well. This isn’t a hop bomb, and it is a nice unique new hop APA.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 egajdzis (4896) - Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 4, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 6, 2012 Amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, some citrus, tropical fruits, pine, toast, and light grass. Taste of some caramel, toasted malts, light citrus, pine, and abrasive hop bitterness. This could have been pretty solid if that bitterness was softened somehow. 50th different pale ale or IPA from Sly Fox.
