3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of grass, floral hops, caramel, light pine, nuts, and a bit of citrus as well. Taste of caramel, grass, buttery malts, citrus fruits, and light pine, with a grapefruit finish.

Draft at Pottstown. I want to caution all that this version is not the same as the Phoenixville version. The Pottstown version has Target, Fuggle, and EKG hops, the P-ville version Columbia. Here’s a blurb from the website:
Brewer’s Select Pale Ale #4 - English
Another concoction from the brew staff straddling that fine line between American Pale Ale and IPA. This time it’s an unfiltered, dry-hopped creation utilizing 3 different English hop varietiess: Target, Fuggle, & East Kent Golding 14.5 OG 53 IBUs 6.1% ABV
On tap @: Pottstown
Brewer’s Select Pale Ale #5 - Columbia
A medium bodied pale ale hopped exclusively with the recently resurrected Columbia hop variety. Developed decades ago, this variety was passed over at the time in favor of the also newly cultivated Willamette. Columbia has a great piney aroma with a hint of lemon. 13 OG 30 IBUs 5% ABV
On tap @: Phoenixville
This one, from Pottstown, had a hazy dark straw pour and off-white head, noble hop aroma, refreshing flavor with pale malt, hopcitrus, a noble earthy fruity hop flavor, and a smooth crisp finish.
