One of three bottles to reach Colorado. Thanks, Randy. I love this stuff. Spicy & fruity, I think the rye blends in smoothly. A lot of pepper and dry rye followed by juicy malts and light fruit. Send more!

750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a clear gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of rye, earthiness, yeast, spice and white pepper. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of rye, spice, earthiness and white pepper with a crisp dry lingering rye finish.

750 cc from Pottstown location. Pours turbid dark straw toward orange with 1-finger white head and spare carbonation. Nose is big rye malt notes, hopcitrus, bready, funky, spicy. Tastes incredible: a nice medley of rye malt, spicy floral funky notes, fruity notes, white pepper, and a juicy spicy finish. This one is great., and comes off like a Belgian Tripel with added rye. Wonderful.

Bottle from the NHC Pours a relatively clear dark straw color with a huge fluffy white head that persists forever. The aroma is quite spicy with the tart rye malt mixing it up with the peppery yeast esters. Light sweet honey malts provide a hint of backbone with a few fleeting whiffs of orange and citrus fruits. The flavor is lightly sweet honey and sugary malts up front with a bit of and orange and lemon zest thing going on. Peppered rye bread comes in next and dominates the palette before a long lingering sweet and tart finish. Medium body with a moderate to high level of carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel. Pretty nice saison, I actually think its improved a bit since I had it at the NHC, the rye was quite assertive then and now it seems to made mingled quite nicely.

Bottle, care of the Boss. Pours light lemonade yellow with a fluffy white head. Aroma of buttered corn, hay, and a touch of honey and aged copper penny. Tastes very buttery and slightly sweet, with a touch of odd perfumey esters and hint of copper in the finish. Decent beer, not bad by any means, but really not my thing. Reminded me of a far lesser tasting Allagash Curieux, aged on corn cobs and pennies. Glad to have tried it, though.

750 ml bottle shared by NobleSquirrel. Thanks, dude. Pours a nicely golden hue, gentle haziness, lively carbonation. Frothy whitish head atop dies to a film, laces ok. Aromas are a bit grainy, gentle fruit, some grainy malt, straw, and gentle yeastiness. Faint banana, kiss of rye malt. Initial is lighter end of the fold, faint body, gentle bread, some medium estery fruit of pear, banana, gentle grainiess. Some straw, gentle sweetness. Some straw, gentle spice, grass, and yeast. Middle is gentle tartness, lemon, gentle bread, grainy quality. Some straw, mellow yeast, faint spiciness. Backend is gentle dryness, spice, mellow floral and citrusy hop presence. A bit of spice, fruit, dryness. Mellow rye is decent middle part of. Finish is dry, a bit spicy. Some gentle bready and malt elements, kiss of fruit.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2013 Bottle, pours yellow with white head. Aroma funk, florals, lemon, lime, Flavors earthy and florals, lemony, lime, medium body, body is a bit big touch too sweet, probably could have gotten a few more points out of this and that could have made a huge difference. overall I like the yeast character but it needs to finish drier and that would probably clean up the middle part.

Hazy golden color with a large white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of rye bread, citrus, spices, honey, and toasted dough. Taste of sweeter rye notes, spices, grass, light citrus, and a sweeter finish. Really nice, but the rye just made it a bit too sweet for me.
