hopdog (4196), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 11, 2004 On tap at the Sly Fox. Poured a medium, cloudy amber color with an off white head. Citrus aromas and tastes. Grapefruit with oranges. Nice bitter finish. motelpogo (4082), Plzen, Czech Republic Jul 8, 2004 on tap at the grey lodge. very classy ipa, the best i found on the east coast. loads of lychee and grapefruit in the aroma, lots of luscious vanilla malt and full bittersweet finish that went on and on. a real joy DocLock (3938), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA May 14, 2004 Pours copper with a good head and lace. Aroma of big hops, resin, and fruit. Tastes very hoppy, with some malt, black pepper, and very well hidden alcohol. Finishes fruity, hoppy, and spicy. A very nice IPA. By the way, this one is hopped exclusively with CASCADE hops, not centennial hops. BBB63 (3619), La Porte, Indiana, USA Jun 20, 2004 Hand bottled by Jeff (aka TAR), thanks once again for the brew! This beer has a ruby highlighted amber body with a small frothy head and some lace. The aroma has notes of Cascade hops (duh!) and buttered toast, and light caramel malting. The taste displays a sharp bitter bite, grapefruity twang, and with a caramelized malts undertone. Sublime woody and hop spicy undertones follow. The feel is dry and astringent, very crisp and fresh. Lots of surprising complexity for a single hopped beer. I would love to try more of these single hop IPA’s and the final IIPA, hint, hint! goldtwins (3559), Nesconset, New York, USA Apr 21, 2008 Tap @ Mugs. Poured a clear gold with a white head. The aroma is citrusy and somewhat sweet. Some pine. Citrus flavor followed by a fair amount of bitterness. Very long dry finish with a light-medium body. You can tell the malt is there but it doesn’t jump right out.
