Brewed in the USA..... Courtesy of The Capt, thanks Mark !! Pours brown in color with a medium off white head. Aroma of malts and the taste being more of the same with a hint of caramel.. I felt the mouthfeel was lifeless and quite boring !!!

Growler shared by TheCaptain, thanks Mark. Clear reddish brown body with a big fizzy head. Nothing on the nose and not a lot on the palate either, just a hint of cascade-like hop flavor on the back end of the swallow. Very bland and watery. Sorry Sly Fox but you can do much better.

Draft. Pours dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with caramel and nuts. Flavor is similar to aroma with notes of toffee and a touch of chocolate with a light to medium body

Nov. 2006 - Run of the mill brown ale. Chestnut brown pour, minimal head and lacing. Aroma was caramel, maltiness. The flavor was more of the same...caramel, not sweet, some roastiness and an odd fruitiness that wasn’t pleasant

Pours dark brown with an off white head. Faint notes of caramel and toffee. Flavor is nutty and smooth but too watery.

2007 Draft.....Well this seems to be out of retirement...Pours a dark mahogany, with a non-lasting off white head....mild aromas of toffee and malt...flavor is brown sugar with molasses essences, sweet and light...the sweetness hurts my teeth for a second (I have sensitive teeth)...weak coffee- caramel finish....still good in 2008 growler tasting

Looks like this one is back, but its only decent. Brown color with a medium off-white head. Aroma is malty and sweet with some molasses, caramel, and nuts. Flavor is nutty and malty with a light hop backing. Not bad, but too average to say much about.

On tap at the Royersford location. Pours a medium reddish brown with red/orange when held to the light. Smaller light tan bubbly head that did not really sustain. Aroma of toasted malts, nuts and maybe a light hop. Flavor of nuts, chocolate, toasy malts, caramel, coffee and toffee. This one was mellow in the aroma (as expected) but actually had a very nice flavor.
