michael-pollack (2603), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA May 8, 2006 Draught: Smells nutty and sweet. Good balance of malt and hop scent. Also a hint of choclate. Poured medium brown color with a hint of amber. Clear. No particles. Nice, big, creamy, off-white head. Head lasted a while before diminishing. Flavors of choclate, nuts (hazlenut?), and coffee. A bit sweet. Light to medium body. Well balanced. Slightly sweet finish of average duration. Overall, a nice Brown Ale. dberger624 (1028), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 18, 2005 Drfat at the brewey. Crisp clean beer. A little on the light brown side. Had a slight bitter bite to it. Not a bad beer at all. jeffin7 (610), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA Mar 1, 2005 Pours dark amber. Aroma of mild sweet malt. Flavor is roasted malt, slight nut and caramel. Fairly mild and clean. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 1, 2005 Phoenixville, PA location. Dark bornw pour with aroma of caramel malt, bigger hops than I would have suspected, and toffee. Tastes malty, with caramel, toffee, and hops at the finish. Very good, but not elite. hopdog (5527), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 28, 2005 On tap at the Sly Fox in Phoenixville. Poured a medium reddish-brown color with a very small off white head. Nutty aromas. Additionaltastes of caramel and toffee. Malty sweet. TomDecapolis (3130), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 29, 2006 On tap at the Royersford location. Pours a medium reddish brown with red/orange when held to the light. Smaller light tan bubbly head that did not really sustain. Aroma of toasted malts, nuts and maybe a light hop. Flavor of nuts, chocolate, toasy malts, caramel, coffee and toffee. This one was mellow in the aroma (as expected) but actually had a very nice flavor. egajdzis (3602), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 27, 2005 Poured a light, reddish / brown color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of nuts, and citrus hops. Taste of toffee, nuts, caramel, with a dry, lightly bitter finish and an average mouthfeel. Goodgrief (1144), Middletown, Delaware, USA Feb 16, 2008 Nov. 2006 - Run of the mill brown ale. Chestnut brown pour, minimal head and lacing. Aroma was caramel, maltiness. The flavor was more of the same...caramel, not sweet, some roastiness and an odd fruitiness that wasn’t pleasant
