This hoppy ale was brewed with a special hop blend known as "Falconer’s Flight" and lands somewhere in the beer spectrum between American Pale Ales and IPAs. Hop Union created this proprietary blend of hops to honor and support the legacy of Northwest brewing legend Glen Hay Falconer. It consists of numerous hops from the Pacific NW including some of today’s most sought after varieties (Citra, Simcoe, Sorachi Ace among them) & other experimental hops in development.

Amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruits, light floral hops, some toasted malts, sweet and light grass,. Taste of citrus fruits, some floral hops, light pine, and toast with a lightly bitter finish..

On tap at Pinocchio’s. Light golden color, no head. Citrus, pine aroma. Complex hop profile, citrus, pine, resin. Moderate level of bitterness. Well balanced. I liked it.

From the tap poured a brown color with a fair amount of head. Nice light hoppy flavor with a quick finish.

Sampled from a growler from the Royersford pub. Excellent APA!! The beer pours a light amber color with a decent-sized off-white head. Inviting aroma of hops, light caramel malt, a hint of grapefruit and toasted bread. The body is deliciously balanced, very smooth and very drinkable. The flavors are incredibly delicious, with lots of fruity and dry hops, along with a balanced flavor of toasted malt, bread and earth. The finish is tasty and balanced, too, with more notes of fruity and dry hops and a nice malty tone. This growler isn’t gonna last very long this afternoon! Very delicious pale ale!

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of malt, hops, grass, and some citrus. Poured copper/amber in color with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, tan/off-white head that greatly diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Slightly sparkling. Good to very good lacing. Flavor is medium bitter. Tastes of hops, malt, grass, resin, and some wood. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Medium bitter, malt, hop, wood, grass finish is dry.

Draft at Royersford, after which I took two growlers home. The pour was dark straw with off-white head, a little haze. Nose was a fresh intense fruity, citric, and floral delight. The taste was crisp, tropical fruity, resiny, and floral. This hop definitely had qualities of Citra, Simcoe, and Sorachi, and was absolutely delicious.
