TomDecapolis (2481), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 17, 2008 On tap at the Royersford location. Pours a mostly translucent amber with lots of golden notes and a medium creamy off white head that left lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, orange slice, fresh hops, light pine and toasted malt. Flavor of toasted malt, caramel, pine, considerable hop bitterness and grapefruit. Ty5592 (1009), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 19, 2007 Clear orange color with great lacing and minimal carbonation. Lite fruity aroma and flavor. light roasted and toasy notes. Bitter finish. Eyedrinkale (3111), Beer Town, New York, USA Aug 1, 2007 Draft @ HDG. Nothing wrong with this stuff. Looks great in the glass, has a nice grassy aroma and a nice dryness in the finish. Balances almost perfectly, showcasing the hop very well. jcr (852), Jasper, Indiana, USA May 22, 2007 Draft. Less than a strong hop presence one expects from an IPA. Cloudy, amber pour with average, frothy head. Light malt aroma — bread and molasses. Just a hint of resiny hop and citrus. More sweet than bitter in flavor. Average carbonation and medium to full body. Sweet malts dominate this IPA, bringing it down a few notches for me. scraff (1667), Baltimore, Maryland, USA May 19, 2007 Draft - Hop Devil Grill - Dark amber, creamy off white head. Nose held notes of soft grassy tropical fruit and lighter biscuit and pepper tones. Well bittered up front with more peppered grapefruit rind and grassy notes. Not much malt to speak of here. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Not bad, not great...
