TomDecapolis (2346), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA May 15, 2008 Thanks to egajdzis for sharing this. Pours a translucent amber with golden notes and a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of orange peel, floral, lightly spicy, some toffee and caramel. Flavor of floral hops, earthy, a nice smooth bitterness, tea, caramel, some pine and orange. Liked the smooth hop bitterness in this one. Went really well with the malts on this one. egajdzis (2879), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 27, 2008 Poured a hazy, light amber color with a medium sized, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, light citrus, toffee, wood, and almond. Taste of citrus, light pine, woody, earthy, and grassy, with lemon, and grapefruit. JoeMcPhee (3643), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Mar 29, 2008 Growler from Bierkraft. Deep copper-coloured beer with a thick sticky tan head. Aroma is lightly lemony and citrusy with a soft pinyness. As it warms the fresh citrusy aroma really pops out. Lightly spicy and a little bit fruity. Good tasty brew. Sweet citrusy flavour, spicy and lemony with the nice malt backbone that characterizes all of these IPA project beers. Earthy and fairly assertive bitterness. jason (1473), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 28, 2008 Draft. Clear golden body with thin head. Aroma is faint but noticable citrus hops. Flavor is zesty citrus, artificial grape, alot of bitterness with a syrupy thick mouthfeel. Good IPA. sheatripper (789), Brooklyn, New York, USA Mar 2, 2008 Draught at Bar Great Harry. Amber/orange color. Citrusy hops (grapefruit/orange) in the aroma. Flavor marked by grapefruit hops with an even and sustained resiny note, over the clean light caramel malt body "canvas" seemingly used in all of the SF IPA projects. Nice work here. Up there with the other project beers I love which are defined by a crisp citrusy/ smooth resin hop flavor.
