PWalk (334), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA May 8, 2008 Alot sweeter than what I had expected to be honest. It was tasty with some caramel coming through but overall it was nothing truly noteworthy other that what I wrote down already. Good alchohol burn in the finish but not long lasting.

Pretty good. JCB (1066), Durham, North Carolina, USA Aug 25, 2008 750 from MrBendo - thanks, Todd! I’ve had this one for about a year, and I’m thinking it must be a 2006? Anyways, it’s a deep ruby pour with basically no carbonation remaining (though I’ve no idea if it had any to begin with). Lovely nose of raisins, breads, and plums, a port-style sipper for sure. Mouthfeel is very thin, with no real depth to this dimension, alas. It’s a shame because the flavors are fairly complex, though I don’t feel they’re really coming alive as they were intended to. So in the end it’s too sweet and slick, falling a notch or two below what I expect from the style.
