Bottle: Poured a dark reddish brown with no head. The aroma was raisins and brown sugar malts. The flavor was of bananas, dark fruits, and malty. Overall, I enjoyed this brew a lot.

Bottle. Pours orange brown with a beige head. Aroma has apple and other fruits, as well as spice and licorice. The flavor is fruity and spicy with raisin and licorice, as well as a light roasted note. Pretty good.

750 from MrBendo - thanks, Todd! I’ve had this one for about a year, and I’m thinking it must be a 2006? Anyways, it’s a deep ruby pour with basically no carbonation remaining (though I’ve no idea if it had any to begin with). Lovely nose of raisins, breads, and plums, a port-style sipper for sure. Mouthfeel is very thin, with no real depth to this dimension, alas. It’s a shame because the flavors are fairly complex, though I don’t feel they’re really coming alive as they were intended to. So in the end it’s too sweet and slick, falling a notch or two below what I expect from the style.
