Mahogany colored, dissipating head with no lacing. Aroma is sugary with notes of darker fruits, caramel, alcohol. Medium to full body, some heat in there. Decent quad, but there are tons that are better.

Pours a brownish ruby color with a medium tan head...nice color and decent retention. Aroma is fruity with fig and yeasty notes. Flavor has raisin and fig...definitely yeasty and fruity...slightly sweet. Mouthfeel is medium/full with a slightly sweet, figgy finish.

A: Dark brown/amber body with a thin offwhite head... decent lacing... S: Lots of prunes, raisins, figs... good spicyness and yeast. T: The fruits start off the profile before giving way to a sweet sugary caramel malt base which is accented with pepper and clove... nice yeast finish. M: Smooth and velvety... the alcohol is present... O: Its a sipper... but a good American quad indeed.

The Ichor pours a dark cola color, not quite black, but pretty close to it. There is a couple fingers of lively tan-colored foam, which leaves behind a mild amount of lacing. Throughout the entire 750mL brew there is always a continuous stream of tiny bubbles rising from the bottom of my Duvel tulip glass. The nose isn’t as sweet as I expected, it’s a very mild blend of candies, molasses and I think I’m getting a little vanilla too. It’s not as bold as some Quads I remember, but it’s definitely not unimpressive either. On the palate the Ichor is a little more impressive than in the nose. As expected there is a lot of different malty sweet components kicking around, with some candy sugars, some mild fruitiness, and a little bit of that vanilla/toffee note I detected earlier. Overall it’s pretty complex, but still quite drinkable. Normally I would sit down with a Quad like this to share with someone, but I think I’ll manage to take care of this one by myself tonight!

Lovely aromatic appeal. Musky woody aroma typical of a Belgian Quad. Nice malty essence. Beautiful dark Quad color, brown heading toward black. Nice one inch head. Lacing lingers on the sides of the glass. Medium sweet, lightly bitter taste. Hint og Belgian sour, bur barely. A bit of alcohol sate upfront but I liked it. Danced nicely on my tongue. Long finish and remains pleasant all the way through. Overall, really, really good. My son gave my this for Christmas as its one of his fav breweries. Thank you Michael. Will def drink it again. Good job Sly Fox.

Bottle@home. Brown haze with low foam. Sweet caramel malty aromas.  Sweet alcoholic finish. A potent brew but too sweet for my taste.
