Pours a cloudy straw golden yellow with a big white frothy head. Aroma is hay, sweet candi sugar and honey. Taste is somewhat grainy and well carbed. A slightly on the sweet side with a nice dry palate wipe.

750ml, very fresh, corked and caged. Nose sweet with honey pale malt and a wallop of sweet candis, some orange peel and spice. Some vanilla and a really airy quality about it at times, some mineral and fruit, but more playing up that candi. Pours orange-golden with a scant white head. Medium body, light bitterness with probably a touch too much sweetness, aftertaste is an herbal-spicy load that isn’t aggressive or hot or prickly, but herbal-spicy nonetheless. Honey and yeast. Alcohol well-integrated, a little oily and flattish. For its odd choices, is still spritely and gregarious, and still packs the cheerful sunshine.

750ml bottle courtesy of Luc. Hazy yellow with a thin slightl off white head. Buckwheat honey, fresh corriander, alcohol, yeast, definitely candied sugar of the Liegge variety. Moderate body and somewhat high carbonation, sweet but fresh, alcohol comes out a little too much at the end but nice.

Bottle @ ZZT VII, thx to everyone for sharing their bottles. Aroma of pilsner malt. Hint of faint flowery hops. Butter. Just as it is hard for Belgian brewers to make a typical American IPA, it is tough for Americans to make a decent Belgian style. Too much spices and yeast esters.
