Ungstrup (10939), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 16, 2006 A deep red beer with a thick fluffy brown head. The aroma is very complex with notes of wood, berries, and some spices on a sweet back ground. The flavor is sweet with notes of berries, and metal in the beginning, acompaniet by notes of herbs towards the end, which is dry. An OK doppelbock - but I’ve had better. Papsoe (9951), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 7, 2006 (Bottle 65 cl) Clear, reddish brown with an off-white head. Unclean, lightly vinous aroma with some roasted malt. Medium body with sweet roasted malt - slightly oxidized. A vague, hoppy finish. Not completely fresh - unfortunately. 011206 joergen (6162), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 3, 2006 Bottle.
