Odyssey is an Imperial, or Double, IPA brewed with an assortment of hop varieties, and lots of them! Near orange in color, Odyssey is medium-bodied and (obviously) hoppy, with pleasant alcohol hints in the nose and finish.

Maris (1351) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - MAR 4, 2015
From a 650ml bottle on 4/3/2015. Pours a acloudy orange golden with a medium white head. The nose features lots of caramel and honey. Take a sip and it’s quite malt forward - more caramel and toffee, with lots of sweet fruit and honey evident, along with a hint of booze. The hops reveal themselves at the back, with a firm, lingering bitterness providing the balance. Full bodied with soft carbonation. This is a bit of a curious double - not overly hoppy and quite malty, and very much on the sweet side for the style. It almost has a bit of barley wine character to it. Very enjoyable but not quite top flight.

Pours copper orange with a two finger off white head with excellent retention and lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, sweet malts, caramel, grassy hops, and some light bready malts. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma with the additon of some light tropical fruits, and a little booze in the finish. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a pretty bitter, slighty boozy, slightly dry, long, lingering finish. Overall, a pretty nice DIPA that has a just a tad too must noticeable booze for a 8.5 abv.
