2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: DEC 17, 2012 From 12 oz can, light orange clear pour, big foamy white, some lacing, nose hint of honey, a touch of rye/grain, caramel and pine, medium body, lightly carbonated, alcohol bite and medium bitter finish, not much in the was a hop characteristic, piney if anything, not a DIPA, interesting but nothing that special, drinkable but very alcoholic...addendum: think I was trying to be nice to myself since I bought a case but this really isn't that good, it's got a skunky taste that binds with the bitter and peppery notes that is a lingering aftertaste. It's not good at $37 per case of cans before tax and if wouldn't be worth grabbing at $27 unless your into the 8% alcohol the is the overriding quality of this one. Sly fox feel free to reach out to me to tell me what I missed but I gave away a 12 pack and my buddy returned it to me. Disappointing to say the least.

Big nose of citrus hops. Almost a citra bomb but has a little bit of high hops to finish off the bitterness.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy amber color, average sized white head. Some dead yeast floating around. Aroma is dominantly malty, without any real hop character. Taste is something like washed out hops, lots of maltiness, overripe fruits and metal. Medium body, soft carbonation. Well, its obviously in bad shape and thats not the first time with this brewer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
From a 650ml bottle on 4/3/2015. Pours a acloudy orange golden with a medium white head. The nose features lots of caramel and honey. Take a sip and it’s quite malt forward - more caramel and toffee, with lots of sweet fruit and honey evident, along with a hint of booze. The hops reveal themselves at the back, with a firm, lingering bitterness providing the balance. Full bodied with soft carbonation. This is a bit of a curious double - not overly hoppy and quite malty, and very much on the sweet side for the style. It almost has a bit of barley wine character to it. Very enjoyable but not quite top flight.
