COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Odyssey is an Imperial, or Double, IPA brewed with an assortment of hop varieties, and lots of them! Near orange in color, Odyssey is medium-bodied and (obviously) hoppy, with pleasant alcohol hints in the nose and finish.

bottle from bierkompass!
Pours copper colored with lovely creamy white head. Nose is sweetish hoppy-fruity with some pine wood. Starts hoppy fruity, massively bitter and dry. Middle part has lots of citrussy hops with a very bitter hop profile. The background shows some pine woods and some dark fruits. Goea into a very hoppy, bitter and dry finish with lots of pine wood.

Botella de 65 cl de el lúpulo tomada en julio de 2013. Ipa con sabores frescos, florales y algo herbáceos bastante fácil de beber y con un cuerpo medio de 8.5 vol. No esta mal, para repetir.

Transfer from BA review on 2-14-24- Served on tap in a snifter Appearance – The beer is served a clear amber color with a one finger head composed of a billowy white foam. The head has a decent retention, fading over time to leave a moderate level of bubbly lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer is quite fruity with lots of tropical fruits of tangerine, mango, and some papaya. Along with these smells come some nice grapefruit hop smells. A rather moderately strong pine aroma brings with it a resinous and somewhat more poignant harshness to the nose, but in a kind of way that seems to balance the sweeter aromas nicely. Taste – The taste begins with a sweeter and bready taste with the tropical fruits that were detected in the nose right up front and being joined by a bready and doughy flavor. A grapefruit hop flavor is present upfront as well with it growing stronger as the flavor advances to the middle. Along with the grapefruit comes some light grassiness and a pine flavor. The pine really kicks into gear more at the middle of the taste with it growing quite potent at the end. While that occurs the doughy and sweeter flavors begin fading some with a caramel flavor coming to replace the lost fruit flavors. In the end with the pine getting decently intense, one is left with a rather resinous and moderately sweet but smooth flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thicker and creamier side with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. Both are rather nice for the sipping quality of the brew and really allow the resinous pine flavor to shine through at the end Overall – A rather nice Imperial overall with a nice moderately resinous finish. Very tasty.

Had this one a while back - remember it to be a big hoppy boozy beer with earthy and fruity notes.

12 ounce can from Beer Run. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a frothy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of tropical and citrus hops, mild earth and caramel. The taste is bitter citrus and tropical hops, a bit of pine and candied citrus, pale malt. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness, decent balance.

Aromas of citrusy hops, lemon candy, sweet bready malt. Clear, burnt orange, somewhat lasting white head. Dry, bitter but balanced by malt sweetness. Medium bodied.

Can in a pint glass. Dull orange and light brown aroma is pine and maple syrup. The taste is all resinous pine and heavy on the caramel malt. Sticky palate with perfect hop bitterness. Very good but, I like the 2013 version better than 2014. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml can. Pours almost orange with some particles suspended. Slightly off white head. Strong bouquet of fruity hops backed by some sweet malts with light detectable alcohol. Great hoppy taste, some caramel sweetness, long bitter aftertaste.

12 oz. can. Pours a dark orange color with thick off white head. Nose is strong pine and malt; flavor follows, mostly hop predominant, with a dry sweet finish and medium mouthfeel. Probably the best beer I got to try in Philly.

Can - Golden color medium head. Blam! huge amounts of hops, lingers on the palate, bitter. Little to strong of a flavor for my tastes.
