Can. Clear gold-copper with white head. Aromas of toffee, herb, soil. Flavors of biscuit, lemon, flower, caramel. Balanced finish. Medium-body with soft mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Hoppy house flavor. Works well with style but still a pronounced bitterness.

Normal dusty golden pour. Nose is crackers and some pepper. Tastes much the same of crackers, biscuits, peppery, some caramel. Thin but appropriate palate. Ok for price

Pours golden with a thin white head. The aroma is standard lager. Tastes like a bog standard lager too, none of that Oktoberfest specialness.

Type: 16-oz. draft Glass: Mason jar glass From: Clem’s Roadside Bar & Grill in State College, Pa. Price: $4.00 (guess) Purchased: Sept. 25, 2015 Consumed: Sept. 25, 2015 Misc.: N/A Poured an orange, pale, clear color with two fingers of white, frothy head. Decent amount of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Above average, sporadic, foamy lacing on the sides of the glass. Average-to-above average retention. (Sight - 4.00) Smelled buttery malts, toffee, toasty malts, dark fruits and honey. (Smell - 3.63) Tasted similar to the nose, slightly boozier. Got buttery malts, slight butterscotch, toffee, honey, wheat and sourdough bread. (Taste - 3.63) Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. (Feel - 3.50) A decent Octoberfest, but not great. I probably overrated it a tad, especially with the taste. (Overall - 3.63) 3.64 82 B

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange with a white head. Aromas of light skunk and fruity yeast. Taste is sweet and a little buttery. Maybe a tad rushed.

Pours clear amber-orange with a one finger white head which fades to pretty nice, soapy lacing. Aroma is of toasted malts, bready malts, grassy hops, sweet caramel malts, light spicy hops, and some light toffee. Taste is toasted bready malts, sweet malts, grassy and spicy hops, black pepper, caramel, and toffee. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a slightly bitter, medium finish. Overall, a decently tasty Oktoberfest, that is pretty easy drinking.

Appearance: amber gold, clear, and with a finger of near white head and decent retention. Aroma: grainy, with lightly toasted brown bread, some grassy notes, and a bit of cardboard. Taste: toasted grains, light grass, slightly floral, a bit of pepper. Notes: crisp and mostly clean, with a bit of lingering grassy hops; palate is pitch perfect. Notes: Not a bad Okto, would drink again. 12 oz can from Total Wine in McLean, VA.

12 oz can from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. Disappointing on taste and body. Didn’t seem to capture the German taste or spirit.
