Draught. Near black in color with a tan head. Roasted coffee notes, bit of dark chocolate and hints of campfire in aroma. Quite the smooth mouthfeel. Chocolate and coffee in taste. Bit thin, but otherwise okay.

Very nice, easy drinking dry stout. Pours black with huge foamy head and carpet lacing. Creamy consistency. This one stands almost as a Guinness clone. Light bitter finish with hints of roast and nut. Tap at pizza paradiso.

Draught @ Tap-House, Munich. Pours a pitch black colour with a firm white head. Aroma of roastiness, some mint leaf and bread. Flavour of strong roastiness, grassy bitterness, espresso, milk chocolate and grassy bitterness. Very authentic roasty coffee finish with mellow sweetness. Brilliant balance. Rocks at this genre.

Transfer from BA review on 5-28-12 - Served on nitro -tap in a pint glass Appearance – Served a deep black color with the off white carbonation/nitrogen bubbles streaming through the brew to form a thick off white head. While it is always a beautiful sight this beer was not quite as impressive as others I have seen as the color contrast between the nitrogen/carbonation bubbles and the brew was not as intense. Smell – As with most dry stouts this one was rather subtle in the aroma department. Light roasted and burnt aromas of bread mixed with a very mellow coffee aroma are all that was really detected. Taste – The taste was mostly of the roasted bread flavor with just a bit sweeter up front. The light sweetness, while present initially, faded fast to more roasted notes with some of the burnt bread and coffee flavors come to the tongue. The flavors level out in intensity overtime and leave a dry roasty taste on the tongue in the end. Mouthfeel – Creamy like a nitrogen driven brew should be. I always love the smoothness of these brews. The creamy body is matched with a good level of effervescence creating a pleasant mouthfeel overall. Overall - While it is a pretty tasty nitro-dry Irish stout it is nothing too spectacular. It’s worth a try, but nothing to go out of your way for.

On tap at South Philly Taproom. Vibrant mahogany with a tan head. Chalky chocolate, light roasted malt, plain and yet easy to drink, thin, moderate carbonation, slightly bitter, so so.
