COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Palisades walk the line between bittering and aroma with alpha acids just under 10%. They provide a soft, clean finish with characteristics similar to Willamette.

Known years: 2006

Tap, Mugs in Brooklyn. Medium copper colored. Vaguely cascade-y hop aroma, though with a bit more burly columbus-like character, as well as some more exotic fruit type aromatics. Excellent full bitterness, and well hopped in the flavor and aroma department. Solid malt backbone, fully balancing, but letting the hops shineI would really love to live nearby, as Iím totally fascinated by single hop beers and the template sly fox is doing these on seems like a fantastic way to get your head around the qualities of the different hop varieties as well as being darn good beer.

Draft at the Sly Fox IPA Project 2006. Solid IPA. Nice a dry. Very similiar to Casade to me, just not a dry.

On draft at the Drafting Room - Exton. Pours copper with thin white head. Grapefruity citrus aroma. Nice caramel malty backbone and plenty hoppy with fruity, bitter finish. A very solid IPA.

On tap at the Sly Fox Promo at Andyís. Light amber, deep orange with a medium off white head. The aroma is a medium amount of hops, spices, and light malts. Taste is bitter that gradually becomes sharp and piney, light citrus flavors, with a good malt backbone. Lingering bitter finish.

Golden orange with a small white head. Aroma had pepper, caramel, citrus and graitfruit. Taste had a funky bitterness which I was not into. Quite frankly I only found this to be slightly above average.

This was a decent IPA from the sample that I had but nothing too out of the ordinary. I would try it again, but not something too highly rated.

On tap at Collins Bar. Golden orange in color with a small white head. Spicey hoppy aroma. Peppery notes. Hoppy and malty flavor. Caramel citrusy notes. Piney earthy hops. Medium bodied. Finish is bitter. Smooth. Welll balanced beer. Drinkable. Enjoyable.

Draft... Clear golden ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is of spicy, peppery hops and toffee. Lots of tannic bitterness in the flavor. Medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation.

Nice IPA. Very crisp and very smooth. Tough call between this and the 113... my initial impression is that the 113 is better, though itís been a while since Iíve had it.

Excellent IPA, copper color, soft & bubbly off-white head, great lacing around the glass, aroma full of hops, citrus & caramel, very smooth & drinkable, could have sat there all night drinking this stuff, nice malt profile to lead off the flavors, then a slightly piney & earthy hoppiness followed, very well balanced especially through the finish, an all-around great IPA
