(draught) pours a hazy amber colour with a frothy light-beige head. aroma of sugary wort, caramel and some tropical fruit, slightly grassy, with a hint of cookie dough, earth, lots of brown sugar and peaches. flavour is more caramel, mango and redcurrant, slightly metallic, with notes of ovaltine and a light-bitter finish. medium-bodied with soft carbonation.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
355 ml can from Domus Birrae. Rich sunrise orange, slightly hazy, with a big, fluffly, forever lasting white head. Great lacing. On the nose citrus fruits (mandarine and blood orange), some grass, quite a bit of caramel malts, some little soap and bubblegum presence as well. Kinda the same in the mouth, definitely not the freshest example. Soapy and old hops, strong malty backbone, mild but overall pleasent bitterness. Good fruity aftertaste, but it lacks that sharp and persistent punch. Average carbonation, light to medium body, creamy texture. Pleasent and very easy to drink, but probably not in the best condition.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz can, purchased from Perfect Pour a couple weeks ago. Printed on the can is "#183 12/10/13". Mostly hazy orange color. Pours with a bigger off-white head. Leaves good thicker sheets of lace. Tastes like there might be something a little off, like a hint of tartness to this. Some caramel malt, good spicy malt, bit of citrus rindy orange hop, hint of pine. Something like rye malt. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter, light (out of place) tart. Medium-plus body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light slick texture. Alright pale ale now, despite it’s flaws. Reasonably smooth and easy enough to drink. Probably a lot better fresh, though, as intended. Dragged as it went.

Transfer from BA review on 4-5-12 -
Poured from can into pint glass
Appearance – It’s not so pale. Pours a beautiful deep amber color with a large billowy off white head. The head has some pretty good retention and leaves a fair amount of lacing.
Smell – The smell is of some bready and biscuit malt with a toffee sweetness and a very light citrus aroma.
Taste – A very bready taste meets the tongue up front. The breadiness has some nice roasted malt flavors mixed in. There is not much of the sweetness that is detected in the nose, but maintains a relatively drier malt flavor. The hop flavors really start to develop more toward the middle and end with nice citrus flavors.
Mouthfeel – Creamy for a 5.1 % abv beer. The carbonation is very normal. Overall both serve the beer quite well and are quite suiting.
Overall – This is a very tasty and very drinkable beer. This is a wonderful session beer and one I will definitely come to on more occasion.
