3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can from MrBarleywine, thanks for the opportunity Mike!
Just a touch of haze in a deep straw colored liquid, topped with a creamy bubbly bone white head that persists forever leaving lots of stickies on the sides of the glass. Crackery bready malt aromas are nicely balanced with a bit of spicy floral hop. Light sulfur rounds out the nose. The flavor is rich bready crackery pilsner malt with spicy hop to counter. Slight metallic flavor towards the end is a bit off putting. I can imagine that this was a better beer when fresher, but I just noticed that this can is best by July 2014. Still no excuse for the metallic flavor. I will rate as is and hopefully get a chance to sample again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can. Looks like a pilsner -- bright golden color, rollicking top of white foam. The aroma hints at a quite biscuity brew, but instead I get a hop-forward beer, the tight malt taking a second seat. (#5759, 10/2/2014)

On tap at Red. Yellow with small white head. Yeasty bready aroma. More body and mouthfeel than a typical pilsner. Medium malt flavors with grassy hop finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can to pils glass - Cloudy light yellow color with a small head. I didn’t like it on first sip because it seemed to have a metal taste to it but that went away. Seems fairly hoppy for a pils and yes, it’s dry on the finish.

Can from trade with Brian. Snifter at home. Pours a clear gold with a one finger white head. Some lacing. Aroma is bread, cereal, whole grains, hay. The taste is solid grains, bread, cheerios, grass and alfalfa. Light body and moderate carb. Slight bitter ending. Very nice pils.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear pale yellow, thick white head. Aroma is malts and noble hops, typical pils. Light refreshing malty taste with a nice hoppy bitterness. Light lemon and grassy touch. Only bad thing is a faint soapy aftertaste. Interesting beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: clear medium gold, with a creamy bright white head. Aroma: grassy, peppery hops over grains and a hint of corn. Taste: hoppy up front, with grass, pepper, and delicate floral notes, over a firm but restrained malt backbone reminiscent of toasted white bread. Finish: light lemon bitterness, with lingering notes of saltine crackers and mineral water. Notes: Slick, with a full but lightly prickly palate. On the bitter side for a pils, but not to the level, say, of Victory’s Prima Pils. Not bad. Quite drinkable.

0.355l can brought home from Mikkeller & Friends. This is a cloudy almost yellow-ish golden one with a small white top. It also has lots of tiny floaters floating about in the glass. Nice nose. It has a nice little hoppy punch but I think the dominating factor here is hay and hamster food/sawdust/grains. Melody fruity with a nice amount of yeast as well. Quite nice. The taste has a good amount of yeast also. The melony kind. In the mouth it feels light oily and it’s softly carbonated with those small prickling bubbles. Is this a pilsner? It tastes more like a hybrid of a Belgian ale, lager and heffe. Mildly fruit bitter with old grass in the finish. A little metallic grainy tail in the aftertaste. Not a huge favorite but nice as a different one. 15.01.2014
