Draft->juice glass (tasting@brewery): pours a small, light brown, lasting head that exhibits good lacing atop a clear dark brown body. Aroma: malt->cookie, hops->perfume, light yeast with perhaps a tinge of cherry aroma mixed in there. The body is medium, the texture is sticky, carbonation is flat, and the finish is bitter. The flavor’s duration is average, and moderately sweet, acidic, and bitter.
I enjoyed this beer a lot and it is a worthy ’try’.

Feb 26, 2008 My 400th rating!!!!!.... Draft at Phoenxville location....Reddish brown (mahogany) small beige head...smells like hot cocoa and some hops....low carbonation...body is easy to drink...nice consistency throughout....hops mid-palate, backed with a nice carob malt, its good...well balanced with a long hopped finish

Feb 16, 2008 Nov. 2006 - Dark pour with red highlights, moderate head and lacing. Aroma was roasty. Burnt coffee flavor (in a good way) with some strong hoppiness. Very full flavor and mouthfeel, especially for the style. Very good

Feb 8, 2008 Draft Royersford location. Clear brown/amber color. Roasted malt and light dark chocolate aroma. The taste was the samw with hoppy finish. NEXT.

Jan 13, 2008 Somewhat light, but not substantial porter from the boys at Sly Fox Phoenixville....good use of hops, but not enough dense taste with the barley malt. A easy drinking porter - not bad, not bad at all.
