Can from Cotteridge Wines, Brum. Hazy orange gold with lasting white head. Bananary estery aroma. Tasty weisse. Not complicated but good flavours and some ripe banana on end. Not much hop

Drunk on the street on the way to meet my friends. Got away with it. Previous rate is a guest rate from my mate Jim. I stand by his rate 100%. Ish, probably a 3.9...

It wasn’t chilled as the traffic was bad on the M5. Breaks and all that. Very nice suppage in the garden, playing with the bubbles I bought at the school fair which were easily a 4.6

355ml Can from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow (£2.80):
Yeast and wheat with banana smell and plenty of clove too. Citrus plus a hint of bubblegum but not too much really. Quite a sweet aroma with touches of spice towards the end.
Cloudy orange colour with a large, 2cm tall head that is creamy and foamy whilst holding well.
Clove and banana upfront that is backed by plenty of wheat and to a lesser extent some yeast as well. There is a bit of spice and bubblegum around the middle that just about equal each other out and the finish fruity with some citrus and possibly some orange too.
Medium bodied with a light citrus tang and a creamy feel that is quite smooth and goes down easy with a soft, sweet finish.

Very good for my first hefeweizen from a can, a lot better than I was expecting to be honest and the beer is a very easy one to drink. It has a good banana and clove taste that is more German than American in style.

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2013 Can from Secret Santa. Pours dirty gold with a thick creamy head that sheds heavy lacing. The aroma is quite nice: lots of banana and wheat, with clove, cinnamon, and a touch of vanilla. Light, creamy body allows this to go down easily. Flavors are simple but good. Banana, wheat, grain, a little herbal spice. Doesn’t match the aroma but plenty enjoyable and refreshing.

Can from Appellation Wines. Pours cloudy amber with good white head. nose is banana, clove, wheat, bread, hay. Taste has more of bananas, but balanced by a sweet finish that narrowly avoids being sickly. Could go a few more IBUs for me, but overall a really good interpretation of the style. Been quite impressed with this brewery’s beers.

12oz can. Pours a rusty orange color with a nice frothy white head. Aroma of bananas, cloves, and wheat. Taste of wheat, lots of banana, with a bit of citrus, and black pepper.

Can. Pours a cloudy orange gold with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is yeast and fruity hops. Medium mouthfeel with sweet honey malt and light fruit flavor. Decent.

355ml can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - cloudy amber nicely proportioned head. Nose - bananas vanilla and cream. Taste - bananas and nutmeg on the finish. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a smooth and fairly elegant finish. Overall - possibly the most authentic weizen I’ve had from outside Germany.

Can. Poured a light tan colored, cloudy, true to style beer, 2 finger high head. Head dissipated. Aroma of lemon grass, banana, wheat, coriander. Medium body. Medium light sweetness. Ave carbonation. About same taste as aroma. Spicy finish. Tasty.
