3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours cloudy amber with thick white frothy head. Aroma is very malty and sweet with obvious, but less hops than expected. Flavor iis mostly piny and a litttle citrusy hops, but not as much malt to balance as expcted from the aroma. As it warms up a bit the malts come through a bit more, but the hops seem to diminish a bit. Palate is mildly bitter, resin like, and piny. Overall, good, but not unique, and I would prefer more hops and a little more balance.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber. Slightly hazy dark orange with a frothy off white head, leaving spotty lacing. Bright orangey aroma with some pine in the background. Sharp woody pine hop flavor over caramel malts. Slightly tart and bitter grapefruit finish and a lingering strong bitter aftertaste. Kind of a sticky, resiny palate. My initial reaction was way too many or too bitter finishing hops, though I generally like the abuse. Uber-hoppy recipe seems to be reaching for that of Stone IPA, but this is just not as well rounded or perfected.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer poured a purple amber color with a light, tan, frothy head that looked like a dollop of oatmeal floating on the top of my glass. This left a world class sheet of lace along my glass. Smelled a bit like oatmeal, charcoal and jalapenos with only the slightest remnants of piney hops. Strange indeed. What first struck me about the flavor was a smoky porter-like muskiness that was then subsumed by a creeping earthy hop. The transition was delicate and subtle and a lot of fun for the drinking experience. The flavor ended up blending these two natures together into a woody, honey malt combined with the earth hops. Wonderful! Finishes with a pine flavor that can only be thought of in terms of the woody trunk of the tree, and not just the needles. The mouth feel is light to medium bodied with a creamy carbonation that nips at the roof of my mouth. An amazing deep red color, fantastic head and lace and a superb blend of malt and hops make this a top notch brew.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Great, crips, full-bodied hoppy aroma, with a decent blend of sweet malts. Also decent-looking too - dark, reddish copper with a soapy off-white head. The flavor is not sweet, as a good IPA should be. Highly floral, and herbal qualities make this a tasty brew.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Orange copper color with a full head of taupe colored bubbles. Big caramel aromas, with only a mild synthetic orange scent. The hops seem somewhat woody, without enough pleasant malt to to much more than make it smell sweet. Initial, and after a few more quaffs, this one comes off as a really hoppy amber. Quite acidic from the start. The malt is lost in all the acidity and does not get a chance to be revealed. Even in the finish and linger, there is little malt to assuage my passion for malt in an IPA. As initially stated, a hoppy amber at best.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a medium amber color, with foamy, lasting head - quite a malty, bready, very british-cask-ale kind of aroma - quite spicy up front, and medium-dry - nice balance of english and american hops, with the cascades coming through the most (which is just fine with me), and the goldings a close second - slight biscuity presence through the middle, followed by an almost thick sweetness, with the caramel malts becoming quite prominent - sharp hop bitterness throughout keeps the sweetness in check, though - this is a very nice IPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Red golden color. Sharp hoppy taste that lasts long with an initial malt taste in the beginning. Intense and nice grassy nose.
