UPDATED: FEB 9, 2013 Second rating, from the can on first rating, this time growler from freshly tapped ked. Spent the afternoon with this beer, but prior notes from the can stand true. Nice copper color, surprised at lack of hop aroma given the description. Looks great, nice mouthfeel but in the end it’s just too bitter, not enough balance. I love IPAs but something is off-balance with this beer, it’s still good but not outstanding.

Can, thanks kerry. Pours deeper orange amber with a small off white head that fades. Nose is heavy caramel malt, resinous and piney hops upfront, flavor is similar with the booze pervading a bit and the hops become a bit too resinous and slightly cheesy. Okay, but not a favorite.

Amber colored pour with hints of orange. Giant off white head. Lacing. Big cereal malty aroma with a nice hop nose. Taste is a malt bomb with tons of hops. Very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Dark amber, slightly hazy, foamy white head. Hoppy aroma with some caramel notes. Medium body, light bitter finish that lingers. Very enjoyable IPA.

Draft @ chalkboard cafe. Copper color with medium head. Aroma of floral citrus hop. Medium bitterness. Actually, a long bitter finish. Impressed how long the frothy head stayed on this one. Taste is hop resin, some pine notes, floral hops. A hoppy ipa.

Aroma: Strong, pungent hop aroma with a herbal, resinous medicinal quality to it. Honeylike malt aroma underneath. Mouthfeel: Surprisingly full bodied. Taste: Remniscent of Imperial IPA beers, but not that strong. Sharp bitterness, flavours of grapefruit, maybe some peach and pineapple, too. Malt undercurrents that make me think of bread. Finish: Finishes bitter and lingers on. Overall: Rich and flavoursome. Great beer.

Draught. Pours a red body, with an average white rocky, but weird head that stays until I finish my glass. Pretty faint aroma, couldn’t smell much, don’t know why. Taste is very good, though, medium to heavy bitter. Medium bitter finish. Excessive carbonation level, watery texure, thin body. A decent beer, but average, compared to other IPA’s.

Pours from a can (!) a nice orange color. Floral nose. Taste of some citrus followed quickly by bitter hops. A good, but not great, IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear orange with a medium foamy tan head. Smells of nuts, caramel, brown bread, raisins. Taste is sweet and moderately bitter - bock-like malts with a moderate hops following, a little sharp - this is much more like a dunkler bock with extra hops than an IPA.

Bottle. Hazy dark orange color, medium off-white head, stays. Juicy, oranges, tropical fruits in aroma. Slightly piney as it warms up. Grapefruit, pine, malty, hops in flavor. Slightly dry, but fruity at the same time. "Juovo stuff".
