A big, strong IPA for all the hopheads out there, brewed with British Pale and Caramel malts, and hopped with Centennial, Cascade, German Tradition, UK East Kent Goldings & Styrian Goldings. Bold and spicy. 16.5 OG 113 IBUs 6.6% ABV

THOUGHTS: Not at all my cup of beer. Not much balance at all. Nice hop bomb, but not enough malt to make it enjoyable to drink. Seems like there might be some rye in there. If there is they should really promote that. Fairly British. My can said it was 7% ABV not 6.6 as listed here. TECHNICAL: Can. Poured an ever so slightly, hazy, dark, reddish amber that looked like a very old and dirty penny. It also had an average to large, off-white head that mostly diminished and left excellent lacing. The aroma had heavy dark bread, grain and something like rye; moderate pine, spruce, and earthy hops; light orange rind hops; and a little tobacco. It should be nice but something is off-putting to me. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and light to moderately bitter; while the finish was lightly sweet and nearly harshly bitter with a long duration. There was citrus, rye, dark bread, grains, pine, spruce, and citrus rinds. The medium body was rather dry with lightly fizzy carbonation and a metallic finish.

Can. Copper pour. Citrus, melon, tea, caramel, earthy bitterness. Looks like this was out of date unfortunately.

Burnt orange pour with big white head. Nose is floral, caramel, lemon, soap, earthy. Flavor follows suit. Not what I look for in an IPA.

Very nice light copper pour with generous lacing. Light syrup mouthfeel, lightly carbonated. Nose is slightly floral with biscuits and caramel. Flavors of caramel and biscuit are sweet in flavor, bitterness slowly rolls through the mouth replacing the strong sweetness.

Can - from sampler pack. Copper color - mostly clear. Mostly clean aroma with some hops. Quite hoppy and bitter. Some malt but mostly hops. Great IPA on the verge of a DIPA.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with an average, off-white head. Aroma of flowerish hops with caramel and grapefruit. Sweet flavor that ends dry and nice bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carb.

Draught @ Albion. Clear amber with medium sized light beige foamy head, very faintt diughy aroma, bitterish hops taste, low carbonation, abrupt finish. Not a great IPA more like an American pale ale to me.

Amber color with a foamy ivory colored head out of the can. Light malty nose. There is some sweet citrus rind taste with some orange juice. Caramel sweetness with some earthiness in the finish. Not a very hoppy ipa.

Sampled from a nice cold can courtesy of the Real Ale Beer Company. Copper colour with a white head, and aromas of Kentish hops. Pleasant, almost sweet, maltiness with a real mouth-filling flavour. The hops give a taste somewhat in-between the traditional American and British flavours - a little pine and citrus from the American hops and a certain earthiness and grassy quality from the British hops. Very pleasant and highly drinkable. Comes out of the can very fresh and clean. Very good.
