Saison is not my favorite style but this was pretty drinkable. Big bubble gum notes on the nose. Taste is very dry with thin mouthfeel and medium carbo. Finishes clean.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle from michael-pollack- thanks again, Pollack! Pours a cloudy yellow-gold color with a big, fluffy eggshell white head and plenty of visible sediment. Aroma of farmhouse funk, grass, lighter spices like coriander and clove, bready malts, and mild tropical fruits. Flavor of grass, straw, herbs, bready malts, funk, pears, peppery yeast, and a bit of banana. Medium-bodied, with a good amount of soft carbonation and a bready mouthfeel and dry finish. Man, I had a lot of great saisons over DLD weekend for some reason. Good beer.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Winnieís LeBus in Manayunk, PHL. Pours a pretty clear golden color with very little head. Aroma of sugar, wheat and Belgianyness. Mouthfeel is really nice; very medium and smooth without a bit of syrupyness. Taste is not overpowering, but hey, itís a Saison. Very middle of the flavor palate until it warms up a bit. Then out comes the alcohol (still pretty mild), yeast, Belgian funk (also mild), sugar and wheat. Kind of like a Baby Grand Cru... that actually was a lot wittier than I intended it to be. Overall, a really solid Saison. I hope Sly Fox puts it in cans! At the right price, I could see myself drinking a lot of it.
