3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle into goblet. Fine bubbled but short-lived head atop a hazy golden body. Some floaties stirred up in the bottle after the pour. Faintly sweet on the nose but the last remnants of a cold are hindering things. Soft and wheaty on the first sips. Initally dry, with some growing sweetness. Finishes with bitterness that becomes stronger and harsher further into the bottle. I was hoping for more classic funk but I don’t think it’s there. Nonetheless, a good effort.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice Saison. Finishes really dry. Lots of character from the yeast. Maybe a little high on the alcohol for me, but pretty reasonably hidden. Pours light orange with fluffy white head.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Had a 10 oz glass at the brewery in Royersford. They go on and on and on about the special yeasts they use, but I can’t see how this is better than any other belgian style ale. Great milky yellow appearance, fruity aroma, tastes of spices. I like it, but wouldn’t go mad for it.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Thanks to footbalm for the trade. Pours a beautiful golden brown with a nice white head. WoW, what a mouthfull. Very carbinated and dry were my first impressions. Has a bitter, zesty taste. Notes of lemon and grapefruit. Not sure what else to get out of it really. This is my first Saison. Not to bad. I guess I will just have to try some more to appreciate it more.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Recently tried this on tap, and was really impressed. An outstanding Saison.
Apperance a light gold, which poured a nice head which has some staying power.
Smell was crisp and clean, with the Belgium Sasion yeast coming through strongly and subtle hints of malt, apples, maybe apricot.
Taste started with a light malt character heavily influenced by the yeast. Complex and subtle fruit flavors start to take over and the finishes very crisply. Over all and great taste start to finish.
Mouthfeel was a little lighter than expected but very nice, and for a Saison I found this very drinkable.
A winner in my opinion.
