I didn’t care for the "strange"spice flavor and also the yeastiness of this beer.

Draught @ Brewery: Strong scent. Smells of cloves, pepper, and other spices. Medium orange in color. No head. No lacing. Tasted sour. Flavors of hops, yeast, pepper, and must. I did not like this (I don’t like the style), so it was hard to drink as far as I am concerned. At least it smelled good.

Had a 10 oz glass at the brewery in Royersford. They go on and on and on about the special yeasts they use, but I can’t see how this is better than any other belgian style ale. Great milky yellow appearance, fruity aroma, tastes of spices. I like it, but wouldn’t go mad for it.

Had this at the Phoenixville location. The color was yellow and there was a . yeasty/malty aroma. Somewhat sweet but farm-like. Clean finish with a yeasty aftertaste.

Draft: Light golden with almost no head, no lacing. Nice aroma of yeast and coriander. Then it went downhill. Flavor was sticky sweet, astringent, cloying and rather single faceted. An unpleasant attack on the palate.

lacks the malt background and the subtle funkiness of authentic saison. comes across more like a hefeweizen.
