Funknmilla (501), Absecon, New Jersey, USA Apr 6, 2008 Tap at Phoenxiville location....Light copper, a small off-white head...smells like sour yeast and that "ordinary beer smell"...very light malt flavor combined with sour yeast...mid-palate is a little bitter...pretty ordinary...body is ok nice effervescence...lacing is dotted lightly, drinkable, but still very ordinary
beastiefan2k (1082), Hicksville, New York, USA Aug 7, 2008 Oh no love for this well made brew, Tap @ Blind Tiger. Malty and earthy aroma, very authentic Irish Ale representation. Then finishes with a touch of burnt sweetness. Taste is dry and earthy with light soil bitterness. I was very surprised by how well this came out and would drink it again for sure. Ty5592 (1005), Hatfield, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 30, 2008 Draft at the Boat House in Conshohocken, my old stomping grouds. Clear amber red color with small tight off white head. Aroma was really just malt. Flavors of light malt, nutzs, and caramel. Flavors the same. Fizzy pop rock finish. Why?? Decent, but not great. blankboy (2517), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 18, 2008 Cask at Pizza Plant, Williamsville, N.Y. Pours a hazy orange-copper with an average size lasting creamy off-white head. Mild aroma has a very slight sour tinge to it along with caramel malt, fruit and very light hops. Flavour, also mild, of caramel malt, light nuttiness and light hops. Average bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Overly weak and somewhat dull, it’s just O.K. HogTownHarry (3146), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Apr 17, 2008 Cask. At Pizza Plant (Walker) in Williamsville. The fist pint was brutally sour, obviously there hadn’t been a pint pulled for quite a while - the rating is for the second pint. Deep clear copper with a solid, long-lasting creamy beige head. Dry, grainy-malty aroma, tart and yeasty. The taste was a little malt-deprived, and it wasn’t even that hoppy - mostly like a bitter iced herbal black tea with extra lemon, a bit of bottle metal, which was pretty odd. I have to admit the mouthfeel was dead on for cask - soft, gently astringent, not much carbonation, smooth - but weak bodied and a tad acidic for all that. Overall needs more malt body and a little less lemony sourness. Radek Kliber (3279), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 15, 2008 On tap at Mr.Goodbar
Appearance: Copper red brew with creamy midlle top. Good lace shown. 4-. Nose : Caramel / hop aroma with pleasant sweetness of brown sugar. Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied brew. Caramel hop profile is found in flavour set as well. Frontal hop with some of earthiness/ nothing super complex but it does its job quiet neat drinkable ale.
