does not count roan22 (1), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 24, 2007 on tap at Sly Fox Phoenixville 12-8. Fresh for the IPA night. Can they please bottle this, its superb piney and citrus taste is really beautiful to the palate. It is refined and distinctive without being weak. If you love hoppy IPA’s, it doesn’t get any better than this beer!
Miver (394), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA May 19, 2008 2006 Draft. (from notes). I had the pleasure of putting this on draft at my house. Poured clear copper in color with a large white extremely sticky head. This one really gummed up my tap valve. Aroma of citrus and piney hops. Taste of sweet piney hops, and citrus. Nice bitterness that follows into the finish. Exudes the trademark Simcoe characteristics without overdoing it which is outstanding. usbadass (17), Massachusetts, USA Jan 5, 2008 Clear copper color, off white foamy head. Aroma was thick prickly hops. Explosively fresh, with lots of citrus and pine. Nose was some sweet malt hidden behind the smoke screen of fresh hop. Taste was full and flavorful malt base, rather thick with layers of fresh hop flavors piled on top. Very resin-y. Mouthfeel was nice, and at 7%, carbonation was perfect. Overall a very hop complex beer, well balanced and very drinkable. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 11/01/2006

clear amber, whispy head, strands of lace, sweet caramal and pine aroma, big bitter hop flavor, touch of caramel sweetness comes in and tries to balance but falls short, tasty but the bitterness gets old

CaptainCougar (4638), Rockville, Maryland, USA Apr 14, 2007 Hand-bottle courtesy of Dickinsonbeer, sampled in November 2006: Pours a transparent copper amber with a thin-lacing white head. Aroma has some sweet toasty caramel malt and peppery grapefruity hops. Body starts with a sweet caramel maltiness and good bittersweet peppery grapefruity hoppy balance. A nice IPA. SoLan (1187), Orlando, Florida, USA Feb 18, 2007 Courtesy dickinsonbeer. Clear dark amber. 1.25cm frothy, off white/tan head. All hops in the nose. Pine trees, grapefruit rind, resin. Same notes in the flavor with solid malt support. Medium body, balanced. Easy drinking, hoppy session brew. Solid.
