Draft at the brewpub. Pours clear copper with a small white head. The aroma is very bready, some sweetness. The taste has a sweet caramel and biscuit mix.

Tap at the goat race. Deep brown with a creamy tan head. Nose is yeasty with toffee and cherry, more of the same in the mouth, hint of brown sugar. Light body, semi-dry with minor bitterness, pretty well balanced. Grain of salt for my last of the day, not so much palate fatigue as too much sunshine; still, a good one, though I’d probably take the Eis’d version.

Trans amber-chestnut, heavy white lace atop thin ring. Nose is ultra sweet juice, light brown sugar and raisin. Flavor goes more grain and raisin, light oat and chocolate through sweet, zesty finish. Too sweet.

Steeeve (327) - Ambler, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 4, 2011
On tap at Bock Fest. Fairly dark brown pour with a thin, light khaki head. Aroma is sweet caramel, toffee, and a little nutty. Flavor has plenty of toffee and caramel, hints of chocolate, plums, and vanilla. Not much hop presence but also not overly sweet. Very well balanced and quite drinkable. Pretty refreshing even on a warm day. Palate was medium bodied, smooth, and well-carbonated. Good stuff.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Ruddy-amber beer with a thin white head. Earthy hoppiness over a lightly malty base. Clean and well-lagered with a nice munich malt/biscuity sweetness. Flavour has a nice balance even if it is a little bit on the bland side. Moderate bitterness.

Enjoyed this one at Circa. Poured a dark-brown with a minimal fluffy head. Smelled slightly toasty, hints of chocolate. The taste was very smooth a well rounded/balanced beer.
