4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at Royersford. This one is outstanding. Deep, deep copper pour with medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, dark fruit, some cognacy scotch. Tastes caramel malty, bocky, with some fruity honey and hops at the finish. Great balance and complexity.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
06’ Goat Races. Pour was medium/dark amber with a small, bubbly, off-white head. The aroma was toffee and frsh dough. Flavors were toasted sweet bread, toffee, carmel, and raisins, with mild alcohol hints coming out. One of my favorite S.F. bocks.

Poured an amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of butter, toast, and bready dough. Taste of toasted bread, dark berries, caramel malts, and a dry, alcoholic, hoppy finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pitcher at the goat Races. Out foxed the sanitizer this time. Orange, clear, slightly tan head. Malty nose, slightly nutty. Flavor has malt up front, and a dry finish. Slight hops and nutty. Maybe a touch ale-like. Not as dry as the Helles-bock, but could use more malt depth.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reddish amber color with a sm-med head. Sugary, malty-sweet aroma. Malty, sugary flavor with bits of roasted malt and smoke, kind of a lite d-bock. Nice brew from Sly Fox.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Bock Fest. Fairly dark brown pour with a thin, light khaki head. Aroma is sweet caramel, toffee, and a little nutty. Flavor has plenty of toffee and caramel, hints of chocolate, plums, and vanilla. Not much hop presence but also not overly sweet. Very well balanced and quite drinkable. Pretty refreshing even on a warm day. Palate was medium bodied, smooth, and well-carbonated. Good stuff.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at The Grey Lodge: Pretty good, hints of a porter and a stout in the flavor but sweeter. In fact, it was just a touch too sweet for me. Still, a pretty good brew.
