Cask at Phoenixville. Pours dark brown, not black, with creamy Guiness-like head. Tasted dry, smooth, medium on the palate, with roasty malt and some dry cacaoey notes in the finish. Not intense of flavor, but smooth as silk.

Draft at Johnny Brendas. Poured a deep amber with specks of off white head and minimal lacing. Some notes of roasted malt, chocolate malts, some lactic slightly tart flavors. Really light bodied and somewhat watery.

[Cask Phoenixville] dark brown with a medium sized, light tan head and nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, light cocoa, some burnt bread. Taste of much of the same, semi sweet cocoa, roasty, sweeter finish.

Cask @ Goodbar Beer Club. Dark brown body. Nose is caramel, tart cherries, raisins, molasses. Flavor is tart toffee, some cherry, solid but not overwhelming bitterness. A little smoke & milk towards the end. Unsure if this was supposed to have the tartness or if its just old - but its nice enough.

A dark reddish amber to brown porter with a thin off white head. A nice burned caramel aroma, with burned caramel, and moka coffee notes, classy. In mouth, a lightish and lactic porter with light bitter chocolate, watery and missing the point. On tap at Tap and Mallet, July 30 2010.
