TomDecapolis (2937), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 13, 2008 On tap at SF Pville. Pours a mostly translucent orange amber with a medium off white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, caramel malt and cereal grains. Flavor of the same, lightly spicy notes, lots of orange in flavor along with toasted malt. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA May 13, 2008 Draught at Great Bar Harry. Orange/copper color poured with a minimal head. Aroma of citrus hop. Flavor marked by a bright omni-citrus hop character spritzing up from that familiar SF IPA project clean caramel malt base. Grapefruit, orange and resin combine on the finish, leaving a bitterness reminiscent of children’s chewable aspirin. Nice enough tasting hop varietal here--very citrusy presence, which I like, and not overly harsh or astringent. Works for me. bp (410), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA May 9, 2008 Draft at Capones: pours a dark copper color with a thin head, a bit of a hop aroma, taste is pretty mellow - maybe that is because I just had a Ballast Point IPA that seemed to be a little more hopped up, decent IPA but nothing overly impressive - certainly wasn’t able to overpower the previous IPA I had drank. PilsnerPeter (2162), Flushing, New York, USA May 7, 2008 Tap at Barcade: Deep copper pour with a strong tan head. Fruity hop nose. Orange marmalade, fresh hemp, nice resinous character. Slightly over carbonated at first, but then it mellows down. very earthy flavor. Twiggy, hemp-like, resinous with some orange-rind characteristics. Solid bitter finish. I enjoy the IPA, in general, because I like learning about each individual hop. Hello Sterling! stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA May 3, 2008 Draft sampled. Pours orange/golden with a decent size foamy off-white head. Aroma of pine and caramel malts. The flavor is spicey, pine, caramel, with a bitter finish. Ty5592 (1014), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 30, 2008 Draft. Clear orange color with spicy laty aroma. Massive lacing on this beer. Light floral/herbal flavors. Harsh bitter hop finish. DocLock (4440), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 28, 2008 Deep copper colored with frothy off-white head. Nose is citric hops, caramel malt, some spicy notes. Tastes resiny hoppy, orange zesty, caramelly, with a decent balance and palate complexity. JoeMcPhee (4544), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Apr 22, 2008 Tap at Blind Tiger. Deep copper coloured brew. Thin white head. Aroma is great. Rich and spicy with a light zestiness. Well-integrated with the soft bready malt base. A touch of caramel flavour sets off the spicy hoppiness. Fairly assertive bitterness with a lingering hoppy floral/spicy flavour. Tasty brew.
