2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
draught at the goat races, hoppy aroma, pale golden body, taste was closer to an IPA to me than it was to a pils, nothing special here, but not bad, just boring.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the Grey Lodge in Philly. Nothing special for me here. Tasted and lookd like a pils. Was refeshing and true to the style.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden in color with a bright white head, decent lacing around the glass, very hoppy nose, very hoppy flavors as well, nicely balanced, tasted more like it could have been a pale ale of some kind

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample tasted more like an IPA (think Celebration Ale) than a pilsner. Very hoppy beer. Bitterness blends well with spices. Nice compliment to Sly Fox’s other winter offering, Christmas Ale.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught: Golden body with a small white head. Aroma is very light - notes of floral hops & light malt. Taste is mild grass, floral hops, mildly bitter citrus. Has a bit more hops than most pilseners, but still very good. Clean and crisp.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Sly Fox in Phoenixville. Poured a medium golden color with a small white head. Aromas and tastes of grass and light malts. Started out slightly sweet and ended in a nice hoppy finish. Pilsners are usually not my bag of tea, but I enjoyed this one.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
My first winter pils. Actually, I had pegged this as 1 part winter ale, 1 part amber ale, and 2 parts IPA. Coppery pour, with aroma of malt, fruit, caramel, and huge hops. Tastes very hoppy, with some fruity esters and some floral elements at the finish. Smooth, hoppy palate, with a great finishing hop bite. I still say this is more IPA than pils, and I like it regardless. A good beer by any other style name is still a good beer.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured a deep golden color with a large, off white head, that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of flowery hops, citrus (lemon), and a light maltiness. Taste was bitter hops, with some lemon, also some grassy hoppiness. Finished rather bready (dough), this was a decent pils.
