I’ve had this saison a few times and my favorite in the line-up together with the DIPA. Hazy yellow with a foamy white head. Yeast, citrus, grassy aromas with a very dry finish. Excellent beer.

Draft. Pours cloudy dark gold with a medium white head. Aroma bread, citrus, straw/grass and a slight funk. Bread and citrus flavor with notes of straw/grass, light spice and a touch of barnyard. A respectable brew by a fairly new brewery.

Draft at Smartmouth. Hazy gold with a short white head. Aroma is fruity with yeast notes, grains and grassy. Light spice as well. Taste is spicier with a bigger yeast presence, strong fruit notes, grains and grassy. Body is medium with a moderate, dense carbonation. Ends with more grains, yeast notes, fruits, grass, and soft spiciness. Not bad!

Draft. Cloudy golden brown color, thick white head, solid lacing. Aroma of lemon, raw bread dough, straw and a bit of barnyard. Taste is a bit heavy on the citrus, but is otherwise a pretty decent saison. Nice body. A good start for a new brewery, something a bit more adventurous than usual.

Served on draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy vibrant orange color with a large frothy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus hops, honey and pale malts. The taste is pale malts, honey, candi sugar and stone fruits. Medium bodied.

Draft at Public House. Delivered a muted orange with tight head. Drinks with a good farmhouse character, a bit of bubblegum and spice. Nice effort for a new local. (#4813, 11/3/2012)

First to rate this one from Norfolk, Virginia’s newest brewery. Picked up a growler from Whole Foods. First off, let me say that saison’s are my least favorite style. That said, this is one of the better saison’s I’ve ever tasted. Nicely done...can’t wait to see what they brew next. A really solid start for this brewery.
