Draft at the brewery’s tasting room. Stoic amber color, little carbonation or head. Drinks clean and tight, a simple malt concoction with an interesting little twist in the finish that hints at a slight roasted or herbal addition. I’m sure this will be popular. (#4818, 11/10/2012)

Draft at Urban Tavern The ale poured a clear dark amber with an off white head and some lacing. The aroma was faint caramel malts and some yeast.. There is some sweetness in the taste with nuts. The ale has a medium body with soft carbonation. This is a good ale to enjoy while watching American Pharoah win the Derby.

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. Aroma- Has a slight hop aroma with yeast, faint but inviting. Appearance- Pours a reddish brown with a small white head. Taste- Has a rather malty flavor that I enjoy with that is more toasted malt than anything else, there is some hops in the background. Palate- A light to medium bodied beer with mild carbonation. Overall- A thoroughly enjoyable beer, I will drink this again.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Soft malt on the nose, malty and toasty. Medium bodied, toast and sweet fruity malt. Soft malty bitterness on the finish, a touch of hops. Decent and easy drinking, with a touch of sweetness.

12 oz. can from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA. Brownish-orange pour with a short off-white head. Aroma of graham cracker, bread, and light citrus. Taste is heavier on the malt than the hops with sweet caramel and toffee at the forefront and only faint traces of orange. Slight lingering bitterness on the palate. Just ok.
