Rule G is the railroad industry’s policy against drinking on the job. With tracks running right into the brewery, we spite Rule G daily. Unfiltered and outrageously dry-hopped, this beer has a big hop nose and a dry clean finish that accentuates its citrus and grapefruit undertones. It is a bold beer that can stand up to bold flavors.

Draft at the brewery’s tasting room. Bright and full of amber-orange color and well topped with a creamy head. This drinks with all the characteristics you’d expect of a dry-hopped IPA, rolling with some good citric flavors, finishing clean and dry. Well done. (#4817, 11/10/2012)

Can to shaker glass. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with white head. Good lacing. Hop nose, but not too powerful. Good body and crisp finish of hop citrus, but just a little one dimensional

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2015 Pours a clear golden orange on tap with dissipating white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of resinous grassy and citrus hops, hint of pale malts. Taste is even hoppier, almost to the point of astringency, but just shy. Solid IPA.

Can from Bert! Dark orange in color, small head. Poured into snifter. Decent nose of musty hops..... citrus, piney. Taste is a solid IPA. Good amount of citrus, grapefruit, grass followed by a big malt backbone. On the sweeter side. Body is kind of chewy, rye notes? Overall solid brewski. thanks Bertttttttttt!

A weak IPA with no hops and abounding in citrus flavor with a strange body. Some weird floral notes exude out of the beers. Not an expected experience from an IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the hotel bar is a nice surprise. Pours golden, translucent, white head that leaves big lacing trail. Pine and citrus, moderate bitterness. A decent solid IPA.

On tap at Abbey Road in Virginia Beach, VA. Lightly hazy, amber gold with an off-white head and excellent lacing. Fairly mild aroma with orange, tropical fruit, spruce and caramel. Taste of citrus, pine, tropical fruit and caramel, all blended well together-- I.e., nothing stands out, but it's all there in a fine balance. Medium body and medium carbonation. A decent IPA, but not a standout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

pours an amber gold with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt and bitter piney hops, taste follows. A bit too much malt for my liking.

12 oz can The IPA poured with a super huge head that filled the glass. There was nice lacing down the glass into the cloudy amber ale. You are greeted with floral aroma of the dry hopping with pine and spruce. The IPA had a medium body with above average carbonation. This is an easy drinking ale that has much to please to hoppy ale lover. Well timed bitterness sweeps the taste buds, concluding the swallow with a clean dry finish. It would add to the desription of the ale if the brewery listed how long was the dry hopping process on the fermented ale.
