COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sommer Fling (formerly Uber) hefe is our traditional German-style hefeweizen that pours cloudy with a straw color and a white, fluffy head. It imparts an aroma with faint bready and spicy notes from the use of wheat and German noble hops; however, the aroma is dominated by cloves with bubblegum. It tastes slightly of bananas balanced with clove phenolics. Overall, this is an effervescent and refreshing beer perfect for enjoying outside as we welcome warm weather.

From the tap poured a copper color with a good amount of head. Light sweet malty flavor with a quick finish.

375ml can into Hefe glass, served cold Aroma: White bread, spice, dried fruit. Straightforward, uncomplicated and light. Appearence: Lightly hazed pale gold. Quickly dissipating white head, little to no lacing. Taste: Not too yeasty. A little white pepper, more spice-driven than fruit. Still, light enough to be refreshing. Palate: Light, clean, high effervescence. Very prickly! Overall: I wanted a nice summer hefe to enjoy on a hot day, and while I personally prefer the nice, classic, banana flavor, there is nothing wrong with this guy. I like it!

A spicy aroma of coriander with bready notes. A slightly hazy golden color with a white head and nice lacing. A spicy coriander taste with notes of honey and a bread. A lighter body with a spice finish. A very refreshing beer great for the summer.

$1.95 Can from Wine Warehouse. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Ordinary aroma or grasses and light coriander. Taste is also quite ordinary. Grasses, coriander, light spice, light garden hose.

I love a good juicy hefe and this is exactly that. There’s a ton of bready, clove, banana and spiciness in the aroma. The clove and banana are the most upfront though. Taste is spicy with tons of banana and clove and theres a big citrus taste. It’s a pretty juicy hefe which is awesome. This beer would be too easy to crush on the beach all day. Cheers!

Draft at RVC. Pours a fairly hazy gold, decent head. Wheat and spice aroma. Like Tia, I caught coriander. In all honesty, I would have pegged this as a saison. There were definite phenol and ester notes present, and they were pleasant. But they came across to me as more Belgian as opposed to the clove/banana German here combo. Maybe my palate is finally fatally shot. In any case, since this is entirely hedonistic, I still liked it quite a bit. :)

Tap @ RVC. Yellow with thin head. Smells sweet and wheaty, spiced, coriander. Wheat flavor. A bit watery.

Hazy light gold pour. Clive in the nose translates to the mouth. Light body. Excellent for the style.

Tap @ Tap House Grill at Ghent - Norfolk: While I’m not normally a fan of hefe’s - this one was well made in the German style and serves as an extremely refreshing summer beer. Smooth body with great flavors of mild yeast and citrus. The citrus continues into the aftertaste.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a fairly clear gold with a thin white head. Soft wheat and a touch of banana and yeast on the nose. Crisp and clean. Medium bodied, nice and clean. Easy drinking, soft wheat on the finish.

Hazy golden, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is a but of wheat, banana, crackers, clove. Flavor is similar, light sweet, a bit of lemon tartness, minimal bitterness. Interesting flavor a bit unlike other hefes. Bubblegum for sure. Medium body, silky mouthfeel
