guzzler (77), AE, Germany May 23, 2003 Reddish amber color with a dissipating tan head. Somewhat of a sparkling/fruity aroma. Balanced malty/sweet flavor and nice finish. Not bad at all.
Magic_dave6 (4012), London, Greater London, England Nov 22, 2007 Cask 3 Judges. Aroma is bursting with caramel and toffee malts, also som green king apple character. Taste is similarly over malty caramel and toffee, raw apple sweetness and no hop character at all. Total caramel = overvented. hughie (2284), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Jul 8, 2006 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Mid to dark amber with a small. off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt. Taste sweet and malty with a citric sourness and slight, grassy bitterness. Suttree (2336), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA May 16, 2005 Updated: May 17, 2005From bottle - Nice looking - clear golden brown, with a nice sized white head. Sourish aroma. Bready, toasty flavor, with a mellow but persistant hop bite. Enjoyable, once you get past the aroma. rauchbier (2874), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Aug 27, 2004 Bottle, from Rythym & Booze in Brigg. Amber bronze with thin but lasting creamy white head and gentle condition. Pleasant caramel, digestive biscuits and good solid English hops in the nose, chalky sweet yeast and fuggles? In the mouth with the caramel more muted. Finish is dry and chalky with some sweetness coming through at the end. Typical English bitter
jerohen (1479), Bussum, Netherlands Aug 23, 2004 Bitter # 234,454 of this holiday. Bit fruity and hoppy. I don’t particularly like the style and this is no exception.
