COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
Brewed at Highgate following the closure of Smiles Brewery.

A traditional Bristol/West Country brew created around the time of the introduction of hops to the beer process. The origins of the first hopped beers are reflected in the aroma, colour and taste of this ale. A pale amber hue with a faint aroma of fresh Fuggles hops, this clean, balanced and rounded ale, leaves a subtle dry finish and a thirst for more.

Amber with no head to mention. Stagnant tap water aroma which isn’t necessarily a criticism. A basic bitter with some west-country nuances.

Tested cask conditioned. Starts off with biscuty malt flavours. Through the pint the hop flavours come through, ending with a very bitter, but pleasent finish.
