Pint pulled at The Volunteers on Baker St (London), a slightly hazy copper with a large think bubbly head. A juicy malt aroma with hints of passionfuit. Light and smooth on the palate at first with a citrus tangy finish, with juicy malt throughout.

Brewery Tap, Bristol. Enticing, sweet malt nose. Rich treacle colour with thinnish but persistant head. Caramel notes in the first sip, but with a subtle astringency coming through that lingers. Gives way to a finish that is sweet and long. Not bad.

Cask. I thought this was quite bitter, tangy with an interesting yeast proflie and possibly some caramel in the aroma? Always enjoyed the Smiles brewey’s products and this was no exception.

Cask Conditioned at The Bell, Banbury. Golden orange with bubbly head. This is a lightly malted fruity beer, orange and tangerine hints, with a pleasant fresh green hop note throughout. Not overly bitter and a little short on the tongue, but a good easy drinking beer, which was lucky as it was the Landlords birthday and the beer was flowing. Happy Birthday Dave and many thanks for many great nights.
