Draft at spuyten, not sure whom purchased but we passed around table trying to get through this. Pours a dull copper nose is some cough syrup and tart fruit. Tastes of apples, cheap wine, light aspirin, cherry cough syrup. Thin and vinegary finish. Not very good.

Draft. Brown pour with tan head. Aroma is Brett, sour oak and spice tones. Flavor is a little off, some apple?, oaky sour tones. Too strong for a good sour.

Un nez axé sur le pain grillé, très complexe et difficile à définir, le côté sauvage et surette se manifeste aussi. En bouche c’est vineux avec des notes fruitées complexes.

7/28/13. 750mL bottle thanks to the owners of Grassroots as a going away gift. A loud hiss upon opening, but no gush. Into a tulip the beer pours a deep amber red with a giant, giant, fluffy tan head that lasts forever. It took me awhile to actually fill the glasd with beer. So. Much. Head. Anyway, after awhile it cuts down a bit and lightly sticks to the glass. Relatively plain aroma, metallic notes hit the nose up front, very light tartness, earth, dirtiness, and some leather and tannins. Lightly tart flavor as well, lots of earthy notes instead... earth, leather, caramel, some roast, and a bit of metallic touches. Not bad. Definitely on the dark side of sours, and not very tart. Enjoyable, not amazing.

Bottle - 750mL crowned. Been refrigerated for a couple weeks now and still gushed upon opening. Pours dirty, rusty brown with a tall, delicately laced tan head after the initial eruption has mellowed. Aroma is slightly sour but has almost a french-toast-&-maple-syrup-like note to it as well. Sour berries, light leather, earthy notes and funky yeast round out the nose on this. Taste echoes the above with more sour fruit fruit, funky yeast, strong earthy notes, some metallic hints and damp woody notes. Body is medium and very carbonated with ample dryness and a lingering tartness. Ends with more sour fruit notes, strong earthiness, yeast notes, wet wood and light horse blanket.

Had this at Where The Wild Beers Are. Pours a hazed amber with a thin white head. Chewy wheat and light wood with cherries. Chewy malt, soft acid over old malt. Paper, toast, a bit of warmth and more paper.

Bottle sampled at Where the Wild Beers Are @ the Gutter in Brooklyn 2013. Pours a deep brown body with thin off white lacing. Aroma is grainy, lightly sour cherry and light vinegar. Mouthfeel is thin with similar notes - alcohol burn in the finish. I wasn’t a huge fan of this one
